Shaun Palmers Pro Snowboarder - 任天堂 Game Boy Color

The game controls are surprisingly responsive for a Game Boy Color title, and the snowboarding tricks are fun to chain together. It's a solid pickup for any retro sports fan.

Even as a cartridge-only pickup, the save feature works flawlessly so I can pick up runs mid-career without losing progress. The sprite animation is surprisingly smooth for the Game Boy Color, and the tricks feel responsive on the d-pad. Perfect for a quick session on the bus.

Picked up a used copy and was surprised how well the snowboard tricks translate to the Game Boy screen—the rail grinds feel legit. Battery life held up through several runs on my trip, which was a nice bonus.
