Puzzle Series Vol. 4: Kakuro Puzzle [JP] - Nintendo DS

Finally, a dedicated Kakuro game that's actually challenging without being frustrating. The level progression is well-paced, and the stylus controls for number input feel natural on the DS.

I play it on my lunch breaks with the stylus and the touch controls are surprisingly responsive for a puzzle game. The difficulty ramps up nicely, and the Japanese menus are easy enough to navigate even if you don't read the language. Definitely a great pick for a Kakuro fan.

The number grids are nice and big on the DS’s bottom screen, which makes the logic flow a lot better than on paper. Being stuck on a tough puzzle without a hint system is a bit rough, but the satisfaction of cracking it solo is worth the import hassle.
