NBA Live 06 - Microsoft Xbox 360

The player models and arenas look sharp in 720p, and the fast-break controls make drives to the basket feel responsive.

The player movement feels much quicker than I expected, which makes driving to the basket actually fun. Pulling off crossovers and finishing with a dunk feels smooth on the 360.

I wasn't expecting much from a launch title, but the fast-break animations feel surprisingly smooth for 2006. It's a solid pickup for Xbox 360 owners wanting a basketball fix, though the lack of online depth kept it from being great.
