Legend of the Guardians The Owls of Ga'Hoole - Nintendo Wii

My kids picked up the combat controls surprisingly fast for a Wii game, and the story mode kept them engaged for days. The graphics are pretty decent for the hardware, and the voice acting adds a nice layer to the adventure.

The flying sequences with the Wii remote feel surprisingly responsive, and swooping through the canyons actually made me lean into the screen. My kid finished the story mode in a weekend and immediately started replaying to hunt for the hidden collectibles.

I was a bit worried the motion controls would feel gimmicky, but swooping and diving with the Wii Remote actually adds a lot to the combat sequences. My kid's been glued to the story mode all weekend.
