The passing mechanics feel surprisingly responsive for a 16-bit game, making play-action passes actually workable. I grabbed the used copy and the cartridge fits snugly, no issues with the contacts at all.

The condition options were the selling point for me—I grabbed the cleaner copy and it looks shelf-fresh, like it just came from 1996. Gameplay is classic Genesis Madden, all the old-school plays and that chunky 16-bit feel.

Pulled this out for a rainy Saturday and the 16-bit gameplay holds up way better than I expected, the play-calling menus are snappy and the option to grab a cleaner cartridge version was a nice touch. It’s pure nostalgia without the lag you get on modern ports.
