The Simpsons Bart tegen de Juggernauts - Nintendo Game Boy

Picked this up for some nostalgia and was surprised how well the action-adventure gameplay holds up after all these years. The minigames are genuinely tricky, especially the skateboard levels, and the cartridge loads quickly on my original Game Boy.

Brought this along for a long road trip and the action-adventure levels actually keep you thinking, not just mashing buttons. The Game Boy screen makes every stage a tiny puzzle to figure out, which is exactly the kind of challenge I wanted. Great way to waste an afternoon with Bart.

The Juggernauts stages have a nice mix of action and puzzle-solving, and the way Bart’s moves are tied to the Game Boy’s buttons feels surprisingly tight for a retro title. I’ve been replaying it on my lunch breaks, and it’s still just as fun as I remember from the old days.
