Pokemon Shield [PAL] - Nintendo Switch

Took me about 30 hours to finish the main story, and the new gym challenges with their unique twists kept me hooked the whole time. Actually felt like I was exploring a real region.

The wild area alone ate up my entire weekend—I kept getting sidetracked hunting for rare spawns instead of following the story. Playing docked on the TV then swapping to handheld in bed the same night is exactly what I wanted from this Switch title.

Finally got the chance to explore the Wild Area, and stumbling across a Max Raid battle with a random group was a blast. The game runs smoothly in handheld mode too, which makes grinding for gym badges on my commute super convenient.
