The manual gear shift adds a nice layer of strategy to each race, and the track layouts feel distinct enough to keep me coming back. Picked this up for nostalgia and it still plays great on my old Game Boy.

The lap counter at the top of the screen really helps you pace your race strategy, and the controls are tight enough for quick cornering on the Game Boy. I’ve been playing it during my commute and it’s a solid challenge without feeling frustrating.

The track designs are surprisingly detailed for a Game Boy game, and the handling really makes you feel the weight of the car. It captures the tension of a real F1 race perfectly.
