Art Academy - Nintendo DS

I was pleasantly surprised how well the touch-screen responds to pressure for blending colors. The lessons actually taught me techniques I’ve used in real drawing.

The step-by-step lessons on layering colors actually teach real techniques, not just button mashing. I've spent hours with the mixing palette and my sketches are already looking more like actual paintings.

I've been working through the lessons and the brush mixing technique feels so intuitive with the stylus. The DS screen is small but the way it simulates wet and dry paint blending is surprisingly accurate.
