Quick answer
For 2026, the best PS5 game to buy depends on your mood: action-adventure fans should grab Assassin's Creed Mirage, while party gamers will love Just Dance 2021. This guide breaks down the trade-offs so you can choose wisely.
Why your PS5 library needs variety
With a massive library of PS5 games available, picking the right one can feel overwhelming. The key is to match the game's genre and replay value to your play style. A single-player epic like Assassin's Creed Mirage offers dozens of hours of stealth and combat, while Just Dance 2021 delivers instant fun for groups. Neither is a bad choice, but they serve very different purposes.
Condition matters: Very Good vs Sealed
When buying pre-owned PS5 games, condition directly affects your experience. Both Assassin's Creed Mirage and Just Dance 2021 are listed in Very Good condition, meaning they show light wear but play perfectly. However, Assassin's Creed Mirage also offers a Sealed option for collectors who want a factory-fresh copy. If you're buying for yourself, Very Good saves money; if it's a gift or collection piece, Sealed is worth the premium.
Your PS5 game decision rules
- Choose Assassin's Creed Mirage if: You want a deep single-player action-adventure set in 9th-century Baghdad. It's perfect for solo sessions and story-driven gameplay. For the best value, pick the Very Good condition copy—same game, lower price.
- Choose Just Dance 2021 if: You host parties or want a fun workout. It's a dance game that gets everyone moving, with a playlist of pop hits. Make sure you have enough space to move in front of your TV.
- When to buy Sealed vs Very Good: If you're a collector or gifting, go Sealed. If you're playing yourself, Very Good is identical in gameplay and costs less. Check the Included option when ordering to confirm you get the case and manual if that matters to you.
