Plants vs. Zombies - Microsoft Xbox 360

Took me a few tries to get past the first few waves, but once I got the hang of planting sunflowers early, it became seriously addictive. The mini-games add a nice variety when the main campaign starts feeling repetitive.

The local co-op mode is a blast; my roommate and I spent hours coordinating our defenses against the zombie waves. The mini-games included are a fun bonus that breaks up the strategy nicely.

I was surprised how well the tower defense mechanics translate to a controller — aiming the peashooters with the analog stick feels intuitive. The local co-op mode is a nice bonus for playing with my kid.
