Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Nintendo Switch

The handheld mode is perfect for long train rides—I’ve already sunk ten hours into it without the battery even blinking. The sheer variety of tracks and characters means I never play the same race twice.

I’ve been playing this one non-stop since it arrived, and the smart steering feature is a lifesaver when my kid grabs the controller mid-race. It’s smooth even in handheld mode, no lag or glitches so far. Really glad I picked this up for our family game nights.

I love how the game keeps things fresh with all the different tracks and items, it’s perfect for quick races or longer sessions. The only downside is that the AI opponents can be a bit too easy sometimes, even on the harder settings.
