Def Jam Rapstar - Microsoft Xbox 360

The track list feels legit, packed with hip-hop classics I actually grew up on. The karaoke-style scoring is surprisingly tough, but nailing a verse makes it all worth it.

The mic calibration in the multiplayer mode picks up vocals clearly even in a noisy room, which made our rap battles feel authentic. I've been playing through the career mode solo too and it's surprisingly engaging for a party game.

Got this for a game night with friends and the mic integration on the 360 worked flawlessly right out of the box. The way it scores your flow on the hip-hop tracks is way more forgiving than I expected, which kept everyone laughing instead of frustrated.
